Fukrey director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba to make biopic on Kapil Sharma titled Funkaar!
Kapil Sharma is one of India’s most celebrated comedians. His show The Kapil Sharma Show is one of the top rated reality programs on television right now. From winning The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007 to owning his own show the actor has come a long way.
Now according to the reports filmmaker Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, who is currently working on Fukrey 3 will be making a film on the life of Kapil. The film’s title will be Funkaar. The film will be produced by Lyca Productions and will be based on the life of comedy king, according to producer Mahaveer Jain. There’s no need to introduce Kapil Sharma. For a long time, he has been earning the hearts of the audience.
Director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba while talking about the project was quoted as saying, “Looking forward to bring to the audience, the story of India’s most beloved FUNKAAR. Kapil”. Mahaveer Jain added, “Billions of people get their daily dose of dopamine, courtesy Kapil Sharma. We all need love, life and laughter. We are proud to present comedy super star Kapil Sharma’s untold story on big screen, in a big way.”
Lyca Productions and Producer Mahaveer Jain have previously worked with Akshay Kumar on Ram Setu, Sanjay Leela Bansali on Mann Bairagi, Anand L Rai on Jahnvi Kapoor’s Good Luck Jerry, a biopic on Vishwanathan Anand, and many more. Lyca also produced Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar’s film 2.0, which was one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.
Kapil will be soon seen on Netflix with his special Kapil Sharma: I’m Not Done Yet. A teaser he’d posted on social media. He’ll be entertaining the audience with some amusing tales from his life as well as a variety of other topics.
