Bollywood actor and director Farhan Akhtar and his long-time girlfriend Shibani Dandekar will be tying the knot on 21st February. The actor’s father, Padma Shri Javed Akhtar, confirmed that Farhan and Shibani get married soon and do a simple wedding. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the Maharashtrian wedding will be taking place on February 19, which would be with close friends and family. The ceremony is most likely to take place at Farhan’s farmhouse in Khandala, Maharashtra.
The report also quoted a source that stated that the family has been extremely close-lipped about the wedding because they don’t want the media to turn up at the venue. “Only family members have been invited. It is still unclear how things are planned, as everything is under wraps. But in most probability, it will be a Maharashtrian wedding.”

Ritesh Sidhwani is Farhan’s closest friend and co-founder of Excel Entertainment along with Farhan Akhtar. Their first film as a producer, Dil Chahta Hai, won the National Award in 2001.
