DJ Rackish is one of the leading names in the nightlife events and wedding circuits. His talent and extraordinary enthusiasm have set the mood for various evenings. But his journey to this tip of success wasn’t easy-breezy. Everyone has to battle a lot of challenges in the beginning to achieve fame.
Based in Pune, Maharashtra, DJ Rackish’s interest in DJing was aroused when he saw Fatboy Slim spinning live at Brighton Beach. This was in the year 2003, and since then his journey has been amazing. After realising his true calling for DJing, Rackish went on to explore the field and broaden his knowledge of it.
So, was it tough for him to reach out to people and showcase his talent? Yes! Being a self-made DJ, finding shows and collaborations was tough for him initially. But Rackish’s dedication was unwavering. He kept hunting for opportunities and grabbed each that knocked on his door. Speaking of which, he says, “If someone said that following your passion and achieving success in it is easy… then it is untrue. Because nothing comes easy!”
DJ Rackish started in Pune and performed at various clubs; he has also played at Dubai’s Times Café. Soon, his talent and infectious aura were being loved by people. DJ Rackish then served as resident DJ for various clubs, including Club Vegas, Fire and Ice, and Leather Lounge. He was also the winner of War Of The Dj’s in 2008, and he is currently a resident DJ at the Miami JW Marriott.
DJ Rackish has performed as an opening act for a myriad of artists like Nikhil Chinapa, Ma Faiza, B.L.O.T, Kohra, Janux, T-pain, Nadia Ali, Ronski Speed, Jaytech, Richard Durand, Akcent, Flo Rida, Bobina, Atomic Pulse, Dirty Vegas, etc. DJ Rackish performs very often.
