From “Mol” to “Moh Maya”: Sooraj Barjatya’s Next Gets a Title Makeover
The trend of movie title changes in Bollywood continues as Sooraj Barjatya’s upcoming romantic drama gets a fresh name. Previously titled Yeh Prem Mol Liya, the film is now reportedly being rebranded as Yeh Prem Moh Maya Hai. This update follows a similar move for Salman Khan’s latest project, Maatrubhumi, and industry sources suggest the new title better captures the specific emotional themes the director wants to explore. An official announcement is expected to lock in the change very soon.
This project marks a return to the wholesome, “values-first” storytelling that has become the hallmark of Rajshri Productions. Director Sooraj Barjatya is collaborating with producer Mahaveer Jain once again following their 2022 success, Uunchai. According to cast member Shaad Randhawa, the film is a quintessential family entertainer that dives deep into traditional relationships—complete with grandparents, aunts, and uncles promising a heartfelt love story that feels like a breath of fresh air in the current cinematic landscape.
The film features an impressive ensemble cast led by Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, supported by veterans like Anupam Kher, Seema Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak. Production is currently in its final stretch, having started in November of last year. Most recently, the lead pair was spotted filming key sequences at Mumbai’s Goregaon railway station. As the shoot wraps up, the focus will shift to a major marketing campaign to prepare audiences for this high-profile return to classic family drama.
