Dharma Productions happens to be one of the most prestigious film production companies in B Town. Now, as per the latest, the company is now facing a setback from the top production house Fox Star India giving a blow to Karan Johar for its next venture Thakt. The film was based on the Mughal King Aurangzeb and his fight with his elder brother Dara Shikoh played by Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal respectively.
With Fox Star India pulling out the contract, the project has gone to doll drums now. The company has been facing bad times in terms of revenue due to the bad performance of the Deepika Padukone starrer film Chhapaak directed by Meghna Gulzar followed by the Kangan Ranaut starrer film Panga. With the underperformance of these two films, the company now seen in a bad shape to which the current Coronavirus is playing havoc with its next ventures.
Thus with so many disturbances we now see the Fox Star India pulling out Karan Johar is likely to do this film since it has been a high budget movie. As per reports, Karan Johar’s collaboration with the company has given several hits as well earlier. However, with some development taking place in Fox Star like Vijay Singh the CEO of the company putting its paper has changed the scenario in a big way. This has ended the long-standing association with Karan Johar and his company Dharma Productions. Karan Johara has other big films as well which include the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer film Brahamastra.
