First week box office reports of Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty

Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty

So far, Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty is among the big budget movies of the year; hence, the box office report would be very much significant. Looking at the initial figures including the pre booking scenario, the makers of the movie can have a gala time at the end of the day. The pre booking figure seems to be very much promising so far. The advance booking really did cool when you talk about North India especially in NCR locations (Delhi- Gurgaon and Noida) with similar trends seen in Bombay and East Punjab. As per the recent reports, the movie seems to be doing good in all the major metros including Kolkata, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, while at places like Mysore and the interiors of West Bengal seems to have low collection.

The opening of Holiday, which was expected to be thunderous especially talking about the multiplexes and urban areas seems to have started with a poor opening. As per the morning reports, the occupancy in most of the places was seen low. Despite being the first movie to be released post IPL long spell, which seems to have added the undivided attention, the occupancy report doesn’t sounds to be impressive. The great hopes, which were seen pinning for Akshay Kumar movie Holiday has unfolded in a modest way. Mumbai was reported with 25 to 30 percent occupancy, Bangalore was seen restricted to around 20 percent, Ahmedabad seemed a bit better with 35 percent, while Mangalore was reported to be the least with figure closing within 20 percent. Similar was the story with places like Pune and other metros in the North. However, as the day progresses, one can expect the movie collection tolling to around 10 crores. Thanks to the factors like low promotion budget and only relying over the word to mouth publicity. Yet overall the figure seems to be okay, which is certainly going to boost up the adjoining weekend.
