It has been one week since Khoobsurat has hit the theatres. The movie starring Fawad Khan and Sonam Kapoor has positive response from the critics, however, was not able to garner good grip over the Box office at least in comparison to the other release – Dawaat-e-ishq. The movie is a bit slow in the first part and is free from all the usual masala witnessed in other Bollywood movies. Hence the movie started with a slow start, which was seen with a bit of hike in the coming weekend and having similar figure in the rest of the week days’ collection.
As per the box office report, the movie bagged 18 crores in its first week collection. Perhaps the other movies like Daawat-e-Ishq and Finding Fanny appeared. Despite a good buzz created by its promos and a number of its promotional events in different cities, the movie went down as per the set expectations. The movies released on this day and earlier seem to be performing better. Even the word of mouth and other factors are not working in its favour.
