First week box office collection of Ek Villain

Ek Villain box office

You are about to complete 6 days, which is almost a week since the movie Ek Villain was released in the theaters. Looking at the flying start, the movie was able to collect more than 70 crores in first week, which makes it the second movie of 2014 that embarked with such a great pace after Jai Ho. The movie has all the important punches one hopes or aspires in a successful movie. It has great performances of stars like Siddharth, Ritiesh and Shraddha, ace script, nice direction and above all a class climax, which nobody really expected to see in the movie. All these elements together make the difference, which translated in a big way toward the box office collection.

Just recently the boys were seen having gala time with the director for getting such a flying start and crossing the 50 crore mark in just three days. It is an incredible feat for novices like Siddharth and Shraddha. The musical revenge saga seems to have reached out in its seventh day today completing already the six days. Though after the initial three days showed some decline with figures like 8.10 cr, 6.80 cr, and Wed 6.40 crore yet the total figure at the end of the day went staggering. After completing 6 days, Ek Villain is reported to cross 72 cr net. The trade pundits in India are expecting to see the figure crossing 77 after one week, but it seems that the amount would escalate more than expected.

The trade analysts and experts find the figure simply humongous thanks to the incredible start the movie has. In fact, if you compare with the other recent grocers at Box Office, Ek Villain seems to be doing great. Currently Humshakals have reached to a figure of 61.05 cr, Main Tera Hero 55 cr, Heropanti 53.40 cr, Queen 61 cr, while the top ones like Jai Ho, Holiday and 2 States seems to be ahead of Ek Villain yet the movie has the capacity to overtake these. For its director Mohit Suri, this is his third hit after Murder 2 and Aashiqui 2, while for people for Riteish Deskhmukh, who were more known for comedy, his solo attempt to play the antagonist role can be a game changer in his career. Coming out from his comfort zone can really pay rich dividends to Ritiesh.
