The Ghazi Attack is the most talked about film of this week among the three releases Running Shaadi and Irada being the others. The film is based on the concept of underwater attacks set in the era of 1971 prior to the indo – Pak war. With ace actors playing a league of Navy officers, The Ghazi Attack got attention of the audience not just for the concept but also for the spectacular under water scenes. The movie attracted a high number of audiences to the theatres intrigued by the concept. The viewers were from different age groups with students making up the majority. As the trade verdicts had predicted the movie got a great turn out and the number of screens playing the movie was also high. The Ghazi Attack recorded an above average turn out and the theatre occupancy of the shows was about 82% in major cities. It did a commendable business in major metro cities.
The Ghazi Attack wrapped up it’s first opening day collection in style with a collection figure of 16.58 crore. The response over the internet was positive and the twitter and social media platform streamed positive reviews for the film. With the presence of ace actors such as Late Om Puri, Kay Kay Menon, Atul Kulkarni and Rana Daggubati, the expectations were high from this patriotic drama. With a short role of Taapsee Pannu , there was the right amount of tadka to the film.
The response was high in the state of Maharashtra and Delhi. Bangalore and Hyderabad came following close to the collection figures. In the coming weekend, the collection figure is expected to double up.
