Faruk Kabir is an actor and director who hails from Delhi. He was born and brought up in Delhi. He did his schooling from Delhi and later headed to Mumbai to pursue his graduation in media and later got involved in Bollywood working as assistant director for few movies. He started his career with the film Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani working as assistant director followed by the other called Asoka in the same role. He then headed to the US to complete his graduation in filmmaking and screenwriting from prestigious New York Film Academy (NYFA).
He then returned to Mumbai and soon got the chance in the acting world with a short film called The Awakening with Ajay Devgn. However, he got recognition with fame with the film Allah Ke Banday working as a director and actor in the said movie. He then got the chance to assist in the film Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat. He then turned director and made a documentary called Unheard Voices Of The People Of India. He traveled for the same for not less than 27000 kilometers by road and made him popular as well.
His short film The Awakening with Ajay Devgan dealt with the issue of water disasters and was recognized as the best work of his career. He then worked with several music videos working with top divas. He worked with several reality shows for small screens both in India and abroad. Currently, he is working in a web series called Shockers aired at sizzlingstar with Kalki Koechlin, Dia Mirza, Amyra Dastur, Amit Sadh, and Prateik Babbar. He is all set to be seen in the third season with Arjun Rampal. Talking about his personal life, he is married to TV and film actress Rukhsar Rehman.
