Excel Entertainment, led by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, remains one of the most influential production houses in Indian cinema. Known for backing major blockbusters like the KGF franchise, the banner consistently delivers films that captivate audiences across the country. Now, anticipation is building for their next ambitious project, 120 Bahadur, starring Farhan Akhtar in the lead role.

Scheduled for a grand release this November, 120 Bahadur has already generated significant excitement among fans. Sources reveal that Excel Entertainment plans to launch the film’s teaser in the first week of August, marking the start of an extensive promotional campaign. The teaser release is expected to be a spectacular event held in Mumbai, designed to create a memorable kickoff for the film’s marketing. “120 Bahadur is a large-scale action film, with the makers sparing no effort by involving an international crew for the key action sequences.

Following Lakshya, this is another army-based film from Excel, and the team is highly optimistic about its theatrical potential,” shared an insider. In 120 Bahadur, Farhan Akhtar portrays Major Shaitan Singh Bhati (PVC), bringing to life an inspiring true story. Farhan’s affinity for biopics is well-known—he regards Bhaag Milkha Bhaag as a landmark in his acting career. He underwent rigorous preparation to embody Major Bhati and will showcase a fresh, intense avatar. The makers plan an extended marketing rollout to maximize awareness and audience engagement ahead of the release.

The teaser is set to premiere in cinemas on August 14, 2025, coinciding with Independence Day weekend. It will be featured alongside the release of War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and NTR, ensuring wide visibility across multiplexes nationwide. Meanwhile, post-production on 120 Bahadur is underway, with editing, sound design, and VFX progressing smoothly.Alongside this, Farhan Akhtar is gearing up for his next directorial project, Don 3, expected to begin filming in January 2026. The film stars Ranveer Singh and Kriti Sanon, with casting ongoing for a major antagonist role. Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, 120 Bahadur is slated for a theatrical release on November 21, 2025.
