Farhan Akhtar Returns with 120 Bahadur: A Tribute to the Battle of Rezang La

Farhan Akhtar is gearing up for a powerful comeback with 120 Bahadur, a gripping film based on the true events of the Battle of Rezang La during the 1962 Indo-China War. Known as one of the most heroic last stands in Indian military history, this story celebrates the bravery and sacrifice of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, PVC, and his 120 soldiers.

Directed by Razneesh “Razy” Ghai, the film casts Farhan Akhtar as Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who led his troops in a fierce defense of Ladakh against overwhelming Chinese forces. Their courageous stand was so impactful that it compelled the Chinese army to call for a unilateral ceasefire—an important but lesser-known fact that the film vividly brings to life with urgency and emotional intensity. The production took on a monumental challenge by filming across the rugged terrains of Ladakh, Rajasthan, and Mumbai.

The team recreated the harsh high-altitude war zones at 14,000 feet, enduring freezing temperatures as low as –10°C. To deliver authenticity and scale, the crew collaborated with the Oscar-winning action team from All Quiet on the Western Front and partnered with Snow Business, UK-based specialists renowned for their expertise in epic war environments.

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under Excel Entertainment, along with Amit Chandrra of Trigger Happy Studios, 120 Bahadur is set to premiere in cinemas on November 21, 2025.This film shines a spotlight on the untold saga of Rezang La and immortalizes the legendary courage of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. The much-anticipated teaser will be released on August 5.
