Faezeh Jalali is a casting director, director, and actress. She is an Indian origin talented filmmaker and actress who is based in the US. She did her schooling from JB Petit and later headed to Beloit College in Wisconsin, USA for her college. She studies theatre arts and also went for her pre-medical background classes for getting admission to a dental school. However, she soon focused on art and culture and gained her Master’s program in Fine Arts from the University of Tennessee.
She also remained active in different theatre groups. She started her career by directing a film in Bollywood called Jaal released in 2012 and then entered into the acting field with the film Qissa. She started with theatres and in the meantime was taken up as a casting director for the Oscar award film Slumdog Millionaire released in 2008 and followed by the others like Shaitan in 2011 and then played her role as a director in the film Jaal. Since then it has been no stopping for the lady.
She worked as an actress in TV and films as well, which include the TV show Mahi Way, while in another other show called The President Is Coming. She was also seen in Bollywood movies including Kurbaan, and Mr. Ya Miss (2005). She continues with her theatre seen in different plays and shows. She was seen bagging awards at the Sultan Padamsee Playwriting Awards 2016 and the Laadli Media Award for Gender Diversity (Theatre) 2016-17.
