One of the movies hitting this Friday was Main Aur Mr Riight apart from Linga and Badlapur Boys. The 1st weekend box office collection for Main Aur Mr Riight was really poor, thanks to Linga stealing the show with 100 crores in just three days. The competition was really tough, which hampered the collection. There are several other reasons too, which made the movie perform bad over the box office. These include poor movie promotion, low star value, minimal word of mouth publicity for the movie. Together all these factors simply went in opposite to Main Aur Mr Right.
Even the screens booked for the movie was less than expected 1000 screens in India, which was also one of the causes of low collection. The total collection went to around 49 lakhs and if we divide the same into three days, it went as 15, 16 and 18 lakhs obtained from Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively, which is extremely low. In fact, even the popularity of Barun Sobti and the VJ Shenaz Treasurywala failed to garner a good response for the movie. even the review was average for the movie, which prevent the audience to drop in for the movie.
