Ektaa Kapoor Issues Public Apology to Actors Following Recent Ad Controversy

We know the popular TV and Films producer – Ekta Kapoor being infamous for her rude behavior with the workforce. We have heard stories of her misbehavior in the past. However, the TV queen Ektaa Kapoor has issued a public apology to actors she had previously criticized over their performances, following her recent appearances in advertisements. Sharing a clip on her Instagram Stories, Ektaa said, “After my recent bout of acting in the ads, I’d like to publicly apologize to every actor to whom I have said, ‘your performance was not up to the mark.’ I am sincerely sorry.
”In recent times, Ektaa has featured in several ads promoting a variety of products. In one commercial, she proudly claimed, “I gave the world K-drama,” referencing her iconic TV shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Kusum, and Pavitra Rishta that defined Indian television. In related news, Netflix’s satirical comedy Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery recently won the ‘Best Hindi Film’ award at the 71st National Film Awards.
The film’s director Yashowardhan Mishra, producers Guneet Monga Kapoor, Ektaa Kapoor, and Netflix’s Monika Shergill attended the ceremony, where the director was felicitated by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. Starring Sanya Malhotra, Anant Joshi, Vijay Raaz, and Rajpal Yadav, Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery made history as the first Netflix Original to win a National Award.
Reflecting on the achievement, Ektaa said, “Attending the National Awards and celebrating Kathal’s win is a magical moment for our entire team at Balaji. This story was created to shine a light on authentic, quirky Indian narratives, and today’s recognition makes the journey unforgettable.”
