ED Grills Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik grilled for 18 hours
As the Enforcement Directorate calls Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty at their office to question the money laundering case, we have some updates about the same. The two reached the office sharp at 12.30pm on Saturday. First Rhea was grilled for eight hours with a number of questions. We have already reported the tough questions she had faced from the ED and the clarifications she gave to the group. Now, we hear that Showik was questioned for 18 hours.
Yes, you heard it right, the actor’s brother left the office at 6.40 am on Sunday. We already know that Sushant’s CA Ritesh Shah and his business manager Shruti Modi were also grilled by the ED for around nine hours. Now, we hear that Showik had to face the ED questions for 18 hours. The reasons were obvious as he had a couple of business terms with the late actor and in few of their companies both have remained the directors on board. Various news agencies have also confirmed his visit at 12.30 pm at the ED office.Â

Earlier, the actress had requested the ED to postpone the questioning till the Supreme Court hears her petition, but the agency rejected her plea. She along with her brother and others were called yesterday for recording the statement. And her brother’s questioning went far beyond the expected number of hours by the department.
