Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection Day 6: Secures Hit Verdict; Ajay Devgn Becomes Only Bollywood Star with 3 Post-COVID Hits

Ajay Devgn’s crime thriller Drishyam 3 witnessed a noticeable dip on its first Wednesday, but the film has officially emerged as a commercial success at the domestic box office. Securing a clean hit verdict within just six days of its theatrical run, the movie has also scripted a major box office record for its lead star in the post-pandemic era.

On Day 6, Drishyam 3 collected ₹15 crore net at the Indian box office. Compared to Tuesday’s ₹20 crore, the film experienced a 25% drop, which reflects a broader industry trend where mid-week footfalls ease after initial momentum. Despite the drop, the thriller has amassed a solid ₹230.5 crore net (₹271.99 crore gross) in India. The film opened with a massive ₹62 crore on Day 1, followed by ₹52 crore on Day 2, ₹60.5 crore on Day 3, ₹21 crore on Day 4, and ₹20 crore on Day 5. With Day 7 projected to see a slight further drop, the first-week collections are estimated to settle between ₹243 crore and ₹244 crore net.

Reportedly produced on a budget of ₹110 crore, Drishyam 3 has already generated a net return on investment (ROI) of ₹120.5 crore. This translates to an impressive 109.54% ROI in under a week, comfortably securing a “Hit” verdict based on trade performance parameters. Taran Adarsh was quick to share the update about the box office collection, how about checking the same as under:

With this milestone, Ajay Devgn has made history as the only Bollywood actor in a leading role to deliver three clean hits in the post-COVID era, following the successes of Drishyam 2 and Shaitaan. He now leads the industry ahead of contemporaries like Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh, who currently have two hits each in the post-pandemic period.
