Too many movies hitting the theatres last Friday, giving the audience varied options to catch the theatres. However, when it comes to catching up the film, the audience didn’t really gave any response to any of the three movies, which included Dirty Politics, Badmashiyaan and Hey Bro. As per reports, the first week box office collection for Dirty Politics tolled to around 5 crores, which is really a better collection than the other two movies.
Despite the presence of too many veteran actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Om Puri and Ashutosh Rana, the movie really failed to garner good response over the box office. Making movies on realistic issues is not everyone’s cup of tea for which filmmakers like Madhur Bhandarkar and Prakash Jha is popular for. Mallika Sherawat in the lead role failed to perform better rather than exposing herself in a couple of intimate bed scenes. Also, the movie failed to create any buzz over the media despite turning controversial.
