Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge 25 Years: SRK & Kajol Statue unveiled in London’s ‘Scenes in the Square

It’s been 25 years for the classic film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. The iconic film that gave SRK the tag of King of Romance giving a complete image makeover on social media. The makers have also celebrated the success of the film way back in the late nineties when the film was released giving Aditya Chopra his break in filmmaking. As the film clocked 25 glorious years this October, the London Business Alliance has come up with their announcement to erect a bronze statue of the lead pair that is going to be unveiled in Leicester Square in London.

As per reports, the statue is going to showcase in London today as the world celebrates the completion of 25 years in the town. The Scenes In the Square in London has already other installations for films like Harry Potter, Gene Kelly, Rain and Wonder Woman to name a few. Now, we have a statue for the iconic film to be unveiled soon in the same place giving the audience a feel of some iconic cinematic moments that have been immortalized in the form of bronze statues.

The film released in 1995 has completed 25 long years and it is considered as the cult movies in the B Town. The film has an ensemble star cast with actors like the late actor Amrish Puri, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, Satish Shah, Mandira Bedi, Achala Sachdev, Karan Johar, Adjun Sablok, Anaita Shroff and Parmeet Sethi to name a few. The film had Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the leading roles and it was shot in London and other parts of Europe along with India. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
