Diljit Dosanjh and Yami Gautam set to come together for an upcoming comedy film

Diljit-Dosanjh-Yami-GautamDiljit Dosanjh and Yami Gautam are going to unite together for an upcoming comedy film for the first time which is yet to be titled.

Directed by Aziz Mirza’s son Haroon, the film will be based on the last scripts of late filmmaker Neeraj Vora. The film is a sensible comedy revolving around a couple.

Confirming the news, the producer of the film Ramesh Taurani mentioned the facts while talking to a media platform, “Yes, Diljit and Yami have given their nod to the film. It’s a fresh pairing and we are excited because both are competent actors with impeccable comic timing. It is a sensible comedy and revolves around a couple.”

The film will also be featuring another teenage couple and the makers seem to be in search of the suitable new faces for the roles.

Ramesh Taurani also said, “We also need another actress who has a crucial role to play in the narrative. The casting should be locked soon.”

The film is scheduled to hit the big screen by August this year. Ramesh Taurani said, “It’s an interesting story, we will be meeting soon for readings before we roll in August.”

According to sources and reports, it is amongst one of the last films written by Neeraj Vora who passed away in 2017 after slipping into coma in October 2016.

Before direction with this yet to be titled film, Haroon has assisted his father for a number of  Shah Rukh Khan films including, Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman, Yes Boss and Amol Palekar’s Paheli.

Diljit Dosanjh had made his debut in Bollywood with Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab. He is next going to be seen in Dinesh Vijan’s quirky comedy Arjun Patiala with Kriti Sanon and Karan Johar’s Good News with Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani.

Yami, on the other hand, is on her higher success side with the surging success of Uri: The Surgical Strike. Apart from that, Yami has recently completed her first schedule of Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Bala to join Hrithik Roshan in China for the premiere of their 2017 film Kaabil.
