We have been hearing about the film Dil Bechara of late a lot. The film happens to be a remake of a Hollywood movie called The Fault In Our Stars. The film will not release in the theaters but will be directly premiered on a digital platform. However, soon the other news came from the makers -Fox Star Studios stating that the film will first hit the theatres on May 8, 2020, and then the rest of the places.
However, we now hear that the makers are trying to release Dil Bechara at Amazon Prime and they are leaving no stone unturned to carry out the required negotiations, which is currently on the full swing from both the ends. Perhaps this the reason why they pushed the date of release to May taking more than six months to negotiate with the digital platform. Hence if the digital platform agrees the conditions and the money they offer to the company then the makers would shelve the release of the film in theatres.
If not then it goes without saying that the film will now release on the given date. Many doubt about the content of the film that does not remain suitable for the theatrical release, hence the makers are trying to get an OTT release. However, the sources close to the film claim that the story is too touchy and not completely based on a depressing niche. Also, the makers feel that they may not be able to recover the cost if the film releases in theatres, while they are hopeful to get the money at the OTT.
