Did you know? J Jayalalithaa wanted THIS actress to play her in the biopic and NOT Kangana Ranaut!
Kangana Ranaut is busy getting praises for her remarkable performance in her recently released film Thalaivi. The actress went way ahead to punch her boundaries for the biopic of late J Jayalalithaa. However, did you know the former CM of Tamil Nadu wanted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play her role.
Well, recently veteran actress Simi Garewal attended a special screening of the film by Kangana. She later took to her Twitter handle to review the film. The vetren actress stated that even though she doesn’t support Kangana’s radical comments, she supports her acting talent. Simi Garewal also added that Jayalalithaa wanted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play her role. But she might have approved of Kangana for her biopic.
She wrote, ‘Altho I do not support #KanganaRanaut’s radical comments..I do support her acting talent. In #Thailavii she gives it her heart & soul! Jaya-ji wanted Aishwarya to play her..my hunch is JJ wud hv approved of Kangana’s portrayal?. As for @thearvindswamy, he is MGR reincarnate!!’

Simi Garewal further praised actor Arvind although she had one issue. She wrote, ‘You forget he is Arvind Swamy! You believe he REALLY is MGR! But they left out JJ’s childhood..I wish they hadn’t. It would have had a stronger impact in the story of Jayalalithaa.. but that’s only my opinion.’
Apart from Kangana, ‘Thalaivi’ also stars Madhoo, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta, Bhagyashree, and Poorna in key roles.
Meanwhile, Kangana recently welcomed Lord Ganesh at her office. She also posted pictures on her Instagram story.
