Did Pakistan Call Salman Khan a Terrorist? Here’s What’s Actually True
According to a recent social media rumor, Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been classified as a "terrorist" and added to Pakistan's terror watchlist.

According to a recent social media rumor, Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been classified as a “terrorist” and added to Pakistan’s terror watchlist. This claim is based on a purported notification from the Home Department of the Balochistan Government dated October 16, 2025. Salman Khan is identified in the document as a “Azad Balochistan Facilitator,” indicating that he backs separatist initiatives in Balochistan.
At the Joy Forum 2025 in Riyadh, Salman Khan spoke on the influence of Indian cinema worldwide while mentioning Balochistan individually. The commotion was caused by this. He said, “A Hindi movie would be a huge hit right now if it were released here (in Saudi Arabia).” Due to the large number of foreign visitors, a Tamil, Telugu, or Malayali film will bring in hundreds of crores of rupees. Everyone is employed here, including individuals from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Balochistan.
Some saw this as endorsing “Azad Balochistan,” a separatist movement that Pakistan opposes.
Following examination, several questions concerning the validity of the notification have been raised:
Absence of Official Sources: Salman Khan’s inclusion on the terror watch list has not been verified by any trustworthy Pakistani official website or media outlet.
Document Inconsistencies: The purported notice is devoid of official features that are often seen in authentic government documents, such as a dispatch number, seal, and signature.
Grammatical errors: The text’s trustworthiness is further called into question by its unprofessional language and grammatical faults.
The paper was also analyzed by cybersecurity experts, who concluded that it was most likely created digitally.
