Dhriti Saharan is a popular actor and singer from Bengal. She was born in Kolkata and brought up in Mumbai. She did her schooling from Kolkata and then headed to Mumbai to get admission in Engineering. However, after completing her studies, she headed to the creative field as she was involved in singing and other things. She got the chance to sing on a number of platforms apart from finding time and opportunities to work in different plays. In her student life, she remained very much active in cultural activities, which laid down the stone of acting and singing in his life.
Thus when Dhriti completed her studies, she simply headed to become an actor or singer but with a bit of struggle, she got the chance to work in Punjabi Cinema. She made her debut in the Punjabi movie called Pure Punjabi for which she was even nominated for the Best Debut Actress Category at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards in the year 2013 but had to lose to her opponent called Monica Bedi. She then even appeared in the video for the hit song “Billo Thumka” from the film Pinky Moge Wali. Sadda Haq is her second film, for which she won the Critics Choice Award for Best Actress at the 2014 PTC Punjabi Film Awards.
Dhriti Saharan also got the chance to work with a Telugu film called Love Touch and Teri Meri Ek Jindari,which were directed by Partho Ghosh. Her next venture in Punjabi Cinema includes ‘TERI MERI EK JINDRI’ which was directed by National Award winning Director ‘Partho Gosh. Talking about her personal life, she got married to his alleged boyfriend and Tollywood actor Jaynath Reddy in Hyderabad in June 2015.They have been dating since quite some time and even had been living in relationship and finally entered in a new life.
