Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana Review : Stellar performances keep the film alive and interesting

Plot
Meet Satyendra aka Sattu played by Rajkummar Rao and Aarti played by Kriti Kharbanda. The two meets for a proposed arranged marriage and soon fall in love during the process of arranging the marriage. However, on the night of their marriage, the film is witnessed with an unexpected twist and soon turns their world upside down, which ends up cancelling the marriage as Aarti leaves the day to pursue her dreams. After five years later, the destiny brings them back when Satyendra, who is now an IAS officer, is given a case of PCS officer Aarti who framed of some charges. The film is then set at the backdrop of Civil Services. Now, what happens next is interesting to catch.
Review
If you look at the script of the film, it has an amalgamation of several movies, right from Barinath Ki Dulhania to other B Town to adding their own spice to make the film interesting and lively. However, more often the film turns out to be predictable, yet the climax seems to be different. It seems that the filmmakers are short of good scripts and there seems to be a dearth of original and interesting script and stories. The same old stories are clubbed to get a mix and match thing over the silver screen. The director has tried to touch a number of social issues like bribe, gender quality and dowry to name a few but it seems that the film has been stretched out of proportion to keep the ball rolling.
On the other side, there are some interesting aspect to catch. The stellar performance of Rajkumarrao seems to be incredible. It seems that the actor has a midas touch which turns gold for every film he touches. Right from Citylights to a number of other films, he has stood tall and given some of the best performances that has kept the audience intact with him. On the other side, we have Kriti Kharbanda exudes charm and simplicity, which seems to compliment Raj perfectly. The other elements like music, screenplay, editing and other things seemed okay which somewhere has made all the difference.
Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana Last Word
The film could have been much better what we see. However, if you happen to be the fan of Rajkummar Rao and do not mind catching up the modest family drama along with getting the reminiscent of the early nineties you will not mind being privy to this emotional alliance.
