Review

The film Dhanak is a heart touching story and the two child actors being the fans of superstars of B Town seems to be an interesting and unique idea in any film. And the best part is the way Kukunoor is seen weaving the idea of fandom in the movie with not only the children characters but at the same via the people they are seen meeting up their journey. At no juncture in the film, no celebrities are taking up the film. Though the journey of kids may be too good to believe, but movies like these can help in restoring the faith of good people and showcase why one can trust them. However, the nature of their love and affection for these screen idols is really so naïve that can be sensed in the movie. Such sequences can give you smile and help you appreciate the makers of the film to give the real things over the reel. The zesty role of Chotu will certainly make you laugh all the time each time when you see Pari remarking about the same with instructions.

Star Performance

Krrish Chabbria can be called as a revelation playing the character of Chotu, he is very much loveable and his performance of playing an impaired guy who doesn’t really shy away from anyone is simply incredible. Hetal Gada has tried her best to give a stellar performance to this emotion act who is committed to see his brother get back his eyesight. She is seen playing the emotions very much perfectly. Vipin Sharma is seen shinning with his small role while playing the character of loving Chacha, while others are okay in the film.

Direction, Music and other elements

The direction of the film is par the way the film has demanded from a filmmaker. It is certainly a treat to catch a number of scenes that are seen unfolding in the most natural way, while it takes you down to the memory lane to see the two fighting for many things like sweets or over their favorite superstars. While catching up the film, one can make out how the performances have been applauded. The sound track can be called as a perfect for the story of the movie, while the picturesque locations of Rajasthan are beautifully captured by the cameraman giving a decent impression of the movie.

Dhanak can be called as a must watch film for the brilliant act the kids seen in the lead roles. You can call it to be a reminder for everyone that this world is not short of good despite the bad in it.
