Delhi 9-year-old girl rape case: Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha, Urmila Matondkar and Sushant Singh demand justice

Gang rape and murder of the 9-year-old girl in Delhi has left the nation stunned. Several members of the film industry have expressed their anger and demanded strict punishment for the culprits.

Actor Swara Bhasker, Richa Chadha and Urmila Matondkar also demanded justice for the 9 years old. The rape and murder were allegedly attempted by a priest and three male employees of a crematorium near Delhi Cantonment in southwest Delhi. The accused reportedly cremated her body allegedly without anyone’s consent. Ever since the case came to light it has become a trending topic.

Celebs from the entertainment industry too expressed their anger on social media and demanded justice for the little girl.

Actor Swara Bhasker took to her social media and wrote, “A 9-year-old child has been raped, murdered and the corpse forcibly cremated! She is a Dalit. The rapist was a priest…in the national capital…is there a more obvious and sickening manifestation of crime, inequality and lawlessness? Am I missing the 2012 Dec outrage?”

While Richa Chadha wants Delhi Police to publicly shame the culprits. She wrote, “name and shame the rapist”.

Actor turned politician Urmila Matondkar also tweeted: “#JusticeForDelhiCanttGirl #JusticeForDelhiCanttGirl”

Actor Sushant Singh also took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Rahe honge mahan kabhi, aaj hum bhi vibhats hai. Apne bacho ko khane wala adamkhor samaj hai. Nastik hu par aaj fariyad karunga, in masumo ki har badua kabul ho. #JusticeForDelhiCanttGir”.

Meanwhile, the police registered an FIR on the basis of her mother’s statement. Crematorium’s priest has been taken into custody. The FSL and crime team collected samples for the investigation.
