Deleted Song ‘Shola Shola’ Added to Andaz Apna Apna Re-Release; Over 500 Screens to Feature 4K & Dolby 5.1 Experience

Andaz Apna Apna (1994) is set to make a comeback in theaters on April 25, and to celebrate this occasion, Bollywood Hungama had an exclusive conversation with Priti Sinha, Amod Sinha, and Namrata Sinha, the children of the film’s late producer, Vinay Sinha. They shared their thoughts on the re-release and reflected on the experience of launching the film 30 years ago.

Priti Sinha recalled, “Most of the actors were out of town during the film’s original release due to ongoing shoots. Aamir bhai and Salman sir were quite busy; their careers were at an all-time high. When we signed them, they didn’t have many films, but in those four years, they became very busy. Even getting them for interviews was a challenge.”Amod Sinha added, “As a result, when my father held a premiere, no one could attend due to travel commitments. Only Meenakshi Seshadri showed up (laughs), and she wasn’t even in the film. Rajkumar Santoshi also wasn’t in town.” He mentioned that the premiere took place at Metro Cinema, the location where the film was released.

Despite the absence of the cast, Namrata Sinha noted that their father remained unfazed. “He had many friends in the income tax and customs departments who attended the premiere. A lot of my relatives were also there. It was a celebration of a film made with a lot of love and hard work.”When asked about the re-release premiere, Priti Sinha stated, “We’re not sure if we will hold a premiere, but we plan to have a preview where Aamir bhai, Salman sir, Karisma Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, and others available will be invited. It’ll be a limited preview since it’s a re-release.”Discussing the release strategy, Amod Sinha revealed, “Cinepolis is distributing the film, and it will be released in around 530 theaters.

Starting with this number seems best, and we can increase it as needed. ”Namrata Sinha assured fans that watching Andaz Apna Apna on the big screen will be a delightful experience. “We have remastered the film in 4K and enhanced its digital intermediate. The sound system has been upgraded to Dolby 5.1.”She further added, “The film’s music has also been re-released, with Tips revamping the sound quality. Promotions have started on radio channels.”Fans can look forward to an added treat: Priti Sinha revealed, “Before the film starts, we’ve included an opening credit acknowledging the team behind the re-release.
