Deepika Padukone’s grand birthday celebration called off due to a raise in COVID cases

Deepika Padukone turned 36 today the actress was reportedly supposed to have a lavish and grand birthday celebration with the trailer launch of her upcoming film ‘Gehraiyaan’. However, the celebration which was all set to take place in Alibaug got cancelled due to the sudden rain in COVID cases.

According to a report in a news portal, Instead of returning to Mumbai now that the event is over, the actress has gone to the Maldives with her husband Ranveer Singh to celebrate her birthday.

The trailer premiere was also cancelled, according to the report, since many members of their crew tested positive for COVID-19, including many assistant directors for filmmaker Shakun Batra. Other cast members, on the other hand, have not been updated.

Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, and Siddhant Chaturvedi also feature in the film. In addition to Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor, the film also stars Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor.

Deepika has a slate of films in the works that she is really excited about. She will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s ‘Fighter,’ in which she will share screen time for the first time with Hrithik Roshan. She also has Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in the filmmaker’s ‘Pathan.’

In fact, the actress will reunite with her ‘Piku’ co-star Amitabh Bachchan in the remake of ‘The Intern’ and Nag Ashwin’s next film with Prabhas. She was most recently seen in Kabir Khan’s ’83,’ in which she co-starred with Ranveer Singh and others. The film was also co-produced by the actress.
