Last Friday was the busy one with a couple of movies from diverse subject was seen releasing. One of the movies included the Naseeruddin Shah Starrer film called Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein, which is a crime thriller. Though the film managed to get a better rating, it failed to attract the audience far and wide. The low promotion of the film in the media made all the difference, which emerged out as the hurdle before the film. The film was just promoted in the name of Naseeruddin Shah in a limited number of media channels, which didn’t bring much of the collection for the same.
As per the reports, the first weekend collection for Charlie Kay Chakkar mein simply tolled to around 0.60 crores, which is indeed a very low figure for decent movies like these. In fact, the other movie released the same day called Yaara Silly Silly did better in terms of collection. With such a low figure this weekend, the trade pundits and experts are not at all hopeful for the film. And with films like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo releasing this coming Friday, the chance of getting higher is simply bleak.
