Deepak Kumar Mishra Bio :
Deepak Kumar Mishra is a talented actor, filmmaker and a writer. He hails from Varanasi wherein he was born and brought up at. He did his schooling from St John’s School, DLW Varanasi and later went to do his Engineering from IIT Bombay. After completing his studies, he wanted to try acting but many suggested that he doesn’t have the personality of a TV actor hence trying his luck here is an exercise of futility. Hence he took an off-beat entry into this field. During his struggling days he went on to participate in national theatre festival held at IIM Calcutta.
During his college days, he was seen engaged in writing street plays and directed them as well. Having said that, after completing his engineering he headed to work with Josy Paul to learn about filmmaking however, this happened when he actually gave up his lucrative job at Aerospace Research and Development an US Air Force agency and joined the fraternity of filmmakers. Soon he got the chance to assist Farah Khan for the movie Om Shanti Om in 2006, which proved a turning point in his life and kept on working when he finally got the chance to shoot SRK in Happy New Year.
He made a couple of short films, which even led him a couple of awards, however, the response was lukewarm. Soon he came in touch with AnuragKashyap who appreciated his efforts of short filmmaking. He then formed his group called TVF Media Labs in early 2010 to focus on directing and writing branded content. He then made a number of short plays and kept on earning name and fame in this stream to emerge out as a talented actor. His debut B Town movie is SulemaniKeeda which he wrote and directed.
