Deeksha Joshi
Deeksha Joshi is an actress who hails from Gujarat mostly active in Gujarati films. She was born on 4th December 1992 in Lucknow in UP and was brought up in this place later in her early days she headed to Gujarat. She did her schooling at Eklavya School wherein she studied English Literature at the well-known college St. Xavier’s College. Since her school and college days, she got involved in different cultural activities doing plays and dramas. This developed her interest in acting.Â
She did her debut with the movie Shubh Aarambh, which was directed by Amit Barot and was released in 2017. She then was seen in two different movies called Karsandas Pay & Use and Colorbaaj in the same year. The latter proved to be her first commercially successful movie in B Town. Her next venture came in the form of Share Lagu with Malhar Thakkar. This proved to be a commercially successful movie. She won the GIFA award for best actress in 2018. The film was a big hit and gave her good applause.Â
Her next film was Dhunki along with Pratik Gandhi and did well in the West Indian film. She also won the best award at the Critics’ Choice Film Awards (Gujarati) for the film Dhunki. Deeksha Joshi was seen playing the titular role in the romantic comedy movie called Luv Ni Love Storys, which was directed by Durgesh Tanna and hit in 2020. She is all set to make her debut in Bollywood with Ranveer Singh’s starrer film Jayeshbhai Jordaar. She is also gearing up for Chandresh Bhatt’s untitled movie with Esha Kansara and Gaurav Paswala.
