It was an extended weekend for the film De De Pyaar De as the film was released a day before Friday the usual day of movie releases in India. The makers also felt that their film has the potential of earning big hence they pushed the release date a day earlier at the box office. The solo release and a decent ratings for the romantic comedy made all the difference giving the film a good boost on the 1st weekend.
Now, let’s see how things have moved so far for the movie collection at the box office is concerned. The film collected 10.41 Cr on the first day, while on Friday it was a dull start in the morning and the evening shows, however, with the sudden jump it ended up gaining 13.39 Cr at the box office on the second day, which was around 40 per cent of the increment in business when compared to the first day. The Saturday was the highest with the collection reaching to 14 Crores at the box office.
However, Sunday seemed a big affected as it was the last phase of elections in India. Yet the collection seemed decent reaching to 13.5 Crores at the box office. So, the 1st weekend box office collection at the box office went to 37.30 Crores, which is still a decent amount for the box office. The film did a decent business in the metros, while the business picked up high over the 2nd tier cities as well. The strong word of mouth buzz of the film along with a decent performances by the lead actors made a decent word of mouth buzz in the media.
