As David Dhawan is coming up with his next film called Coolie No 1 with his son Varun Dhawan in the lead role, he was seen talking about his upcoming film and the remakes. Varun has done both the remake films of Salman Khan and Govinda which his father has done. After Judwa 2, Varun is all set to come out with his next film Coolie No 1 with Sara Ali Khan. David Dhawan feels that his son is setting up parallels to the roles he is doing of the two stars.
But he also confessed about the fact that what Govinda and Salman Khan did for their films like Coolie No 1 and Judwa, no one in the industry can touch that level. So, when Varun has done their films he has not tried to imitate the stars but had his style of playing the roles feels the filmmaker. He said Varun is playing his own ball game which has nothing to compete with Salman or Govinda as they are legends.
He further said that Varun is not all similar to the two stars. He said he has done several films with these two stars and their levels cannot be compared with anyone in the industry. Talking about Varun Dhawan, he was last seen in Street Dancer 3D with Shraddha Kapoor. The film was released in Jan 2020 but it failed to impress the audience in a big way. The film was an average grosser. Now, Varun is gearing up for his next film Coolie No 1 and he has high hopes for the same.
