OMG: The Digital partners Opt-out from PM Narendra Modi biopic

modi banned

Ever since the film PM Narendra Modi was announced in the media, it has been constantly getting news in the media. The film was supposed to be released after the elections, but later the makers claimed to bring it just before the general election, which gave the opposition an opportunity to agitate calling it to be a propaganda film. The Election Commission then accepted the plea of people banning it to release during the LS Elections.

The makers then knock the doors of the Supreme Court and the SC then directed the EC and the Censor Board apart from further hearing the case next week thus giving hopes to the makers of the film. However, now we hear that all the promos of the film on the web including the trailer and the dialogues have suddenly disappeared from the web giving the makers another jolt. The producer Sandip Singh has also confirmed about the same and stated that this has caused additional stress to his team who is now seeking the help of the court to resolve the matter.

He also stated that all his digital partners not ready to back the film as they feel the sense of trouble from different quarters of the nation. The MNS and the Congress have been agitating against the movie. The former allege the CFBC chief Prasoon Joshi that he has given the certificate to the film in just one week, while the other films take two months to get the clearance. They alleged that Joshi has gone out of the way to release the movie. The final hearing for the film in the SC is on 22nd April which gives hopes to the makers.
