Ever since the news broke out that T-Series which holds the music rights of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon’s mythological saga ‘Adipurush’, are releasing the first song ‘Jai Shree Ram’ people have been eagerly waiting for the song.
Since yesterday ‘Jai Shree Ram’ has been trending on Twitter as netizens have been requesting the makers to release the song soon. Now the music label has finally dropped the film’s first song and it lives up to the huge expectations.
The song composed by popular musical duo Ajay-Atul, gives you the feel of chanting mantra with the grand orchestral music playing in the background. It had been revealed that the duo will unveil the Adipurush theme song, Jai Shri Ram, at a big event in Mumbai with a live orchestra and over 30 chorus singers.
The song has already generated a lot of excitement and buzz on social media, with many fans complimenting it as well as music composer Ajay-Atul for creating such a unique tune that evokes both devotion and grandeur.
The song opens with Sharad Kelkar’s voice over saying ‘kaun hai ye jo tumhara raasta roke, “kis ko mila hai ye adhikar, ukhad jate hai parvat ke paav jab tum bharte ho hunkar” .The video of the song consists of some collage of visuals from the film which were not shown in the film’s teaser or trailer as of now.
In the film Adipurush Prabhas plays Raghav, Kriti Sanon plays Janaki, Sunny Singh plays Shesh, and Devdatta Nage plays Hanuman
Adipurush is helmed by National Award-winning director Om Raut, who is known for his previous directorial venture ‘Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior’ (2020) which starred Ajay Devgn in the titular role.
Interestingly, the film was supposed to have its world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival on 13 June. But as per latest media reports, the said early premiere has been cancelled by the makers. and now the screening will take place on 15 June alongside other regularly scheduled premieres in the USA.
Made on a massive budget of over Rs. 500 crore Adipurush is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair under the banners of T-Series and Retrophiles. The film set to enter theatres on 16 June, 2023. The film will also be released in IMAX and 3D formats.
