The music rights of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, Jawan, have been sold to T-Series for a whopping Rs 36 crore. This is not the first time that a Bollywood film’s music rights have been sold for a high price. In fact, some films have earned double or even triple this amount for their music. Here is a list of some of the most expensive music rights deals in Bollywood history:

Adipurush: The music rights of this Prabhas-starrer were retained by its producer, T-Series. The amount that the film earned from its music is not known.

Varisu: The music rights of this Thalapathy Vijay-starrer were sold to T-Series for Rs 5 crore.

PS:1: The music rights of this Mani Ratnam film were sold to Tips Music for Rs 25 crore.

RRR: The music rights of this SS Rajamouli film were sold to Lahari Music and T-Series for Rs 25 crore.

Brahmāstra: The music rights of this Ranbir Kapoor film were sold for around Rs 30 crore.

KGF: Chapter 2: The music rights of this Yash film were sold to Bhushan Kumar’s music company and Lahari Music for Rs 72 crore.

Leo: The digital and music rights of this Thalapathy Vijay film were sold for a whopping Rs 220 crore.

As you can see, the music rights of Bollywood films can be very valuable. This is because music is an important part of the film-going experience, and it can help to promote a film and drive ticket sales.

The high prices that are paid for music rights also reflect the growing popularity of Indian cinema around the world. As more and more people are watching Indian films, the demand for the music from these films is also increasing.
