Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan amongst 38 celebs face legal trouble after publicly revealing a rape victim’s identity

A horrific incident happened in 2019 which made everyone shocked and scared. Two years ago, a girl was brutally raped, killed, and burnt alive by four men in Hyderabad.

The incident created a huge stir and it is still fresh in people’s minds. Not just common people but Indian celebrities had also expressed their sadness over the matter. Many celebs even took to their social media handles to condemn the incident. However, some celebs revealed the name of the victim while posting about the incident on social media. And now, that has set them in legal trouble.
According to a report a case has been registered against 38 Indian celebrities including Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Rakul Preet Singh, and others for revealing the identity of the rape victim. The case includes the names of Tollywood and Bollywood celebs.

For the unversed, there is a law that says that it is unethical to use the real name of rape victims in media or any public platform. A Delhi based lawyer Gaurav Gulati has filed the case. Many celebs including Anupam Kher, Farhan Akhtar, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Maharaja Ravi Teja, Rakul Preet Singh, Allu Sirish, Charmme Kaur, and other celebs are on the list.

As per the reports, Gaurav filed a complaint in Sabzi Mandi Police Station under IPC section 228 A and also filed a petition in Tees Hazari Court regarding the same.
