Chhapaak Trailer To Release On World Human Rights Day

10th December is observed as World Human Rights Day. And thus the makers of the film Chhapaak have decided to use this day to release their film’s trailer as it remains an apt day to do so. The film is based on a real-life incident dealing with the life of an acid attack survivor called Laxmi Aggarwal. This is Deepika Padukone’s debut film as a producer in which she is also acting in it. The film’s trailer would be released on 10th December, which is also observed as World Human Rights Day.

Now, talking about the coincidence, the director of the film Meghna Gulzar that it is a nice coincidence as they find the subject apt to have its connection with this big day. It would be interesting to see the trailer releasing on this day since the film’s subject deals with crime and rights of women in Indian society and how she has to pay the price for some filthy animal.

Further talking about it Meghna said that he did not know about this coincidence but is grateful to the makers that they chose to release the trailer on this big day. She said that this day might help to create the buzz for the film in the media. Deepika Padukone is playing the lead role in it who plays the acid attack survivor, while Vikrant Massey is the man in the negative role. The film is all set to hit the screens on 10th Jan 2020.
