The makers of Cheat India has come to a decision to have a new release date. They have now embarked upon a new release date. The makers now have changed the release date by pre-poning it by one week, the reasons are obvious. Yes you guessed it right, they want to avoid the clash with the Nawazuddin Siddiqui film called Thackeray. The film was earlier set to hit the screens on 25th January, which was also the release date of the said biopic film. The new release date has been announced by the entire cast and crew of the film. Now, the movie would be releasing on 18th January 2019.
The film is based on the corruption found in Indian education and it has Emraan Hashmi in the lead role who has come ahead with new announcement in a press conference organized in the presence of Sanjay Raut the the producer of Thackeray. With Emraan, the entire cast and crew of the film was present. As we know that the film Thackeray is doing a biopic based on the life of Bal Thackeray the founder and supremo of Shiv Sena, which is now being governed by his son – Uddha. Also, present was Aditya Thackeray, (Bal Thackeray’s grandson) at the same juncture. When asked if the makers of the biopic has asked to change the date of the movie, Bhushan Kumar denied about the same and said the reason is commercial and has nothing to do with this issue.
However, on 25th January 2019, we have another film releasing called Manikarnika but when asked about it to the Thackeray director, Sanjay Raut said that his film would remain unaffected and that people who are the fans and followers of Bala Saheb would come to watch.Interestingly, the biopic is releasing just before the general elections, which can be an attempt to revive the buzz for the party. But when asked about the same, the director said that Balasaheb’s personality was iconic and has nothing to do with it. The film will give the ideology of Balasaheb to the coming generation.
