Chatrapathi – Official Trailer: Bellamkonda Sreenivas makes his Bollywood debut in this outdated run-of-the-mill masala entertainer
Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas is set to make his Bollywood debut with action entertainer Chatrapathi, which is a Hindi remake of S.S. Rajamouli’s film of the same name featuring Prabhas. The film was released in 2005.
The trailer for the film has now been released, and it is evident that it is another run-of-the-mill masala entertainer with nothing fresh to offer the viewer. Granted, the plot is somewhat predictable, but the trailer suggests that even the execution is obsolete. Everything from action to drama to romance to unnecessary party songs to over-the-top melodrama can be found here.
The plot centres around ‘Chatrapathi, (Bellamkonda Sreenivas) who is separated from his mother in 1985 on the Indo-Pak border. Chatrapathi becomes the oppressed people’s saviour while searching for his mother. Sharad Kelkar plays the primary adversary, while Nushrratt Bharrucha plays Chatrapathi’s love interest.

To be honest, the trailer makes it pretty clear that there is nothing new or interesting in the film, and if you are genuinely interested in the plot, you should watch the original film, which is available in Hindi on YouTube for free, instead of wasting your money and time travelling to theatres.
Helmed by V. V. Vinayak, the film also stars Freddy Daruwala, Rajendra Gupta, Rajesh Sharma, Ashish Singh, Sahil Vaid, and Shivam Patil. Dr. Jayantilal Gada presented Chatrapathi, which was produced by Dhaval Jayantilal Gada and Aksshay Jayantilal Gada under the banner of Pen Studios. The film is set to be released in theatres on May 12, 2023.
