Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui Box Office Prediction: Not a bed of roses for the film, huge struggle ahead!

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor in leading roles, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui is gearing for a release this week. Like almost every Ayushmann film the story of this film is also a little offbeat. The film deals with topics related to LGBTQ. While the box office is running in full swing after it finally opened after lockdown.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Ayushmann’s last theatrical release, was released in 2020. It was a major underperformer at the box office, although it had a fantastic start. Now all eyes are on the actor’s theatrical release, which comes after a break of more than a year and a half. Following the COVID’s second wave of theatrical releases, one can predict that Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui has the best chance of beating Ayushmann Khurrana’s Article 15. Other films appear to be out of place. Having said that, overcoming Article 15 would be a difficult task, as we have seen blockbuster films starring John Abraham and Salman Khan get off to a sluggish start.

The film, directed by Anubhav Sinha, had a good start with 5.02 crores. Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui would have easily surpassed those numbers in a normal circumstance. However, because a big market like Maharashtra has a 50% occupancy limit, the situation has completely changed. A growing number of omicron cases will also cause problems for the film.

Well, as of now we can only wait and watch the movie market game.
