Simran Kaur Mundi is not an unknown name in Bollywood especially in Punjabi Cinema. She has acted in a number of movies and also known as a competent model. She is the same model who won the Miss India Universe title in 2008. Born and brought up in Mumbai, her origin is from a Sikh family who originally belong to Mundian Jattan, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. She did her schooling from DPS in Vijapur in Guna of Madhya Pradesh and Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior. She then headed to do his Bio Technology from the known Holkar College of Scienc based in Indore. After her Bio Technology, she returned to Mumbai and joined Fame Cinemas as guest relations executive.

It was this job only, which helped Bharat and Dorris (the top artists) to notice her in Fame Cinemas. The duo encouraged her to participate in the Miss India contest in 2008. Despite having no experience in modeling she went ahead and participated in the said contest. She won the same and then went ahead to represent the country at Miss Universe 2008, which was held in Vietnam in 2008. Here she was the first runner up in the beach beauty contest, while remained the second runner up at the popular evening gown contest wherein she remained fourth in the national costume round.

After wining these titles, her gates to enter the professional world of modeling wherein Simran Kaur Mundi got the chance to work with bigger and leading brands in the market. She even walked at countless ramps including over the Lakme India Fashion Weeks for the tenure of 2008 to 2011, India Couture 2008, Dubai Fashion Week, NIFT, NIFD, etc. She was even privileged to be on the red carpet over Cannes for the movie Outrage in its Film Festival in 2010 and even seen over the Cannes Fashion Paranoia in the very same year. Besides participating in a number of fashion weeks and titles, she also was the judge for Femina Miss India Delhi last year and this year was seen over the judge panel of Elite Model Look India.

Simran Kaur Mundi did a number of commercial and endorsed different brands as well including Parachute sizzling Oil and carried different other commercial campaigns too. She then was seen a couple of music videos including the Punjabi and Hindi ones like the ones called Jadoo from Sukshinder Shinda released in 2010. Later she got the chance to do a couple of TV shows including the one called Zor Ka Jhatka, which was anchored by SRK. She also was seen as a host for Hockey India League wherein she was seen anchoring for a couple of matches for around a month’s time. Now talking about her film career, she got her first film in the form of Jo Hum Chahein in 2011 opposite Sunny Gill, which gave her positive reviews. Later in 2013, she worked in a Punjabi movie and later got the chance to do a couple of south Indian movies. Her recent Bollywood movie was Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi. Currently, she is doing a Punjabi movie called Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin, which will be releasing this year end.
