CBFC finds Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon’s kissing scene objectionable
The Raabta actor starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon has become the talk of the town- credit goes to the crackling chemistry between the lead pair. Even as their chemistry continues to become a huge rage amongst their fans, the movie has apparently come under the CBFC radar. According to a report in a leading daily, a few scenes from Dinesh Vijan’s movie did not go down well with the CBFC and the censor board apparently demanded the scenes be trimmed from the movie.
According to a leading daily, CBFC found a kissing scene between the lead pair too hot to handle and asked it to be removed. Not just that, the leading daily quoted a source saying, “The language used in a few scenes was very dirty. The Censors were flabbergasted that such a thing could exist in a simple love story of two young stars who are so loved by the masses and have a following amongst the kids. They even found Kriti-Sushant’s kiss too hot to handle.”
The source added, “The makers were asked to go back home and make the changes if they wanted a U/A certificate. Else, they would have got only an A certificate and the matter was non-negotiable.”When we contacted CBFC Chief Pahlaj Nihalani to confirm the same, he refused to comment. We also tried contacting Dinesh Vijan and are awaiting a response. The movie also stars Rajkummar Rao and Jim Sarbh in pivotal roles and is all set to hit the theatres on June 9, 2017.
