Sunny Deol remaking ‘Damini’ with son Karan, Shah Rukh Khan helped in this way

Sunny Deol

It is not hidden from anyone in Bollywood that the relationship between Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan was not good. The two worked together in Yash Chopra’s film Darr, but never came together after this. The two did not talk to each other for years after the estrangement during this film, but now it seems that due to Sunny’s film Damini, the wall of animosity between these two stars is collapsing.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Sunny Deol wants to remake his national award-winning film Damini with son Karan. Shah Rukh’s company, Red Chillies Entertainment, was bought by the film’s rights makers Ali and Karim Morani. When King Khan came to know about Sunny’s intention, he himself gave the film rights to Sunny. The report also claimed that shortly before the lockdown, Shah Rukh had gone to Sunny’s bungalow to give the rights to the film.

What is the story of Sunny-Shah’s feud

Sunny Deol had mentioned the incident of estrangement with Shah Rukh in India TV program. When Sunny was asked if Shah Rukh and Yash Chopra scared him on the sets, Sunny said- I think he was afraid because he was wrong.

Recalling the incident, Sunny said – I was doing a scene in which Shah Rukh stabs me. I had a heated argument with Yash Chopra about this. I tried to convince him that I am a commando officer in the film, my character is an expert, I am physically fit. Then how can this boy beat me so easily. He can beat me if I don’t see him. If I see him, yet he stabs me then I will not be called commando.

Sunny had told that Yash ji was old, so I respected him and could not say anything. I put my hands in my pocket. I was very angry, due to which I did not realize that I tore my pants with my hands.

After this, there was no conversation between Sunny and Shah Rukh for 16 years. On this, Sunny had said that it is not that I did not talk, but I had left myself and I do not like much. That is why there is no talk of never meeting.

Sunny received the National Award for Damini
Damini was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Rishi Kapoor and Meenakshi Seshadri played the lead roles in the film. Sunny was in the supporting role in the film, but won her the National Award for Best Supporting Actor for his powerful role.
