Catch how Zaira Wasim had cornered the Sports Minister Vijay Goel on Twitter

Zaira Wasim has been in news since past a couple of days ever since she met the J&K CM.  The spunky daughter of Aamir Khan from Dangal, should have been busy gathering accolades for her work but instead got unnecessarily dragged into a controversy. After the release of Dangal, the teenager has become a youth icon of sorts for all Kashmiris and has been felicitated at several places. During that time she met J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti for which she received a lot of flak from trolls all across social media.

And guess that has left her very wary of the medium. Recently, Sports Minister Vijay Goel drew parallels to her while talking about daughters of India and that didn’t go down well with Zaira. She requested him to refrain from connecting her to such tweets. It so happened that Goel inaugurated the India Art Fest in the national capital on Thursday and tweeted, “This painting tells a story similar to @zairawasim More power to our daughters!” He attached an image of him admiring a painting of a girl in hijab with a woman in cage.

Zaira found it unsolicited and replied to him saying, “@VijayGoelBJP Sir, with all respect to you, I feel I must disagree. I request you not to connect me to such a discourteous depiction. (1/3).” In her next tweet she said, the story depicted through this painting is not remotely relevant to mine (2/3). In her next tweet addressing to the minister said, Women in Hijab are beautiful and free. Minister Goel tried to clarify that he meant her no disrespect by saying so. He wrote that the lady misinterpreted it and that he was applauding the lady. Zaira seems to have become really cautious of what people say about her on social media or how do you explain her request to Mr Goel.
