Sonakshi Sinha appeals to people not to misbehave with animals

Actress Sonakshi Sinha is angry with people who misbehave with animals and says that animals are better than humans because they are not “mentally ill”.

Sonakshi tweeted about this and wrote, “Why do people call people behaving badly like animals?” “Please behave like animals. Because animals neither kill for fun, nor for their entertainment nor are they mentally ill. Humans do this. “

Sonakshi’s tweet came as a reaction to the brutal incident of a pregnant elephant by humans, in which she was fed a pineapple filled with firecrackers. Firecrackers exploded in her mouth and the female elephant died while standing in the river.

Sonakshi also shared a statement by the World Wide Fund for Nature India (WWF India) condemning this horrific crime.

The statement read: “WWF India condemns the horrific death of a pregnant elephant near Malappuram in Kerala on May 27, 2020.”

“WWF India requests the Kerala Forest Department and local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and ensure that those responsible for this gruesome act are protected by the provisions of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 and any applicable law. Under accountability so that such behavior is not repeated in future.

Apart from Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani and many others also condemned the attack on the elephant. According to reports, the female elephant fell victim to an act of human cruelty in the Silent Valley Forest in Kerala, as she was fed a pineapple full of firecrackers. The fruit reportedly burst in her mouth, breaking her jaw and rendering her unable to eat.

Principal Conservator of Forests and Chief Wildlife Advocate Surendra Kumar said in a statement, “It is certain that the crackers-filled pineapple was fed with the intention to eliminate it. The incident was reported from the fringe areas of Silent Valley in Attapadi.

He said the post-mortem showed that the elephant was pregnant. Forest officials are expected to apprehend the culprit and punish him for his cruelty. After the news of this tragic death came to light, Forest Officer Mohan Krishnan posted a message on his Facebook page Posted an emotional note detailing the death of the elephant in the waters of the Valeriyar River.
