Jawan Chaos: Shah Rukh Khan’s Enthusiastic Fans Cause Disruption at a Malegaon Theatre, Leading to Show Halt and Frightened Patrons

Shah Rukh Khan fans celebrate blockbuster release of ‘Jawan’ with explosive display at late-night show On Saturday, officials reported that some overzealous Shah Rukh Khan fans caused an explosion inside a cinema hall during the late-night show of his latest blockbuster release, ‘Jawan.’ Shortly after the film began, a group of enthusiastic audience members lit firecrackers, hurled twine bombs, and even fired several rockets at the ceiling of the dark, enclosed Kamaldeep Theatre, terrifying many of the patrons.

The sudden explosions caused panic in the audience, evoking chilling memories of the real bomb blasts that had rocked the minority-dominated town in 2006 and 2008. As fireworks erupted inside the theater, the management halted the show and turned on the lights. Many Shah Rukh Khan fans were seen dancing, clapping, and jumping with joy at his antics on the silver screen, creating a deafening cacophony.

Spectators filmed the melee on their phones as screams erupted and some women slipped out of the smoke-filled theater. Soon after, local police arrived and whisked away some of the revelers, detaining them briefly. The police warned the revelers that bursting firecrackers in enclosed spaces was illegal. After a 20-minute break, the movie resumed and peace was restored.

Malegaon, a town known for its cinephiles, experienced another similar incident last year. During a re-release of the classic film “Sholay,” some fans burst firecrackers in the cinema hall during Amitabh Bachchan and Amjad Khan’s iconic dialogues.

Aref Shaikh, a local resident, said that Malegaon is a paradise for moviegoers who prefer to watch major releases in theaters as soon as they are released. The people here work hard all day, but movies, songs, and Bollywood actors are a staple of their daily lives and discussions. They love their heroes and heroines, like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, and Kareena Kapoor, very much,” Shaikh said with a smile.
