Jeel Gajipara Calls MS Dhoni As His Inspiration In Cricket, Expresses His Desire To Play For India

Sports in India is considered as not a hobby but a passion for many people. Cricket, in particular, is a religion in the country. It is one of the most viewed and played sports in India and many people are working hard towards making their career in the sport. Living true by the saying, “Action speaks louder than words”, Jeel Gajipara has let his bat speak for himself. Born on October 24, 2001, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the young guy always had a thing for sports. In school, more than academics, he excelled in sports. Since then he is working hard towards becoming a cricketer.

He has played cricket for several teams. For Mumbai Domestic Cricket Team, he scored 97 runs in 32 balls. While playing for Saurashtra, Bihar and Rajasthan’s domestic cricket team respectively, the 19-year old scored 136 runs in 67 balls, 116 runs in 71 balls and 177 runs in 122 balls respectively. At such a young age, Jeel is creating a record and is truly proving that he is here to rule the cricket ground. He hit his fastest half-century in Saurashtra in just 11 deliveries. Moreover, Jeel’s highest score is 275 (187) against any domestic team in the country.

The young guy is on a record-breaking spree and has won the hearts of many people across the country. Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been his all-time favourite cricketer. Speaking about his love for cricket, he said, “I have grown up watching the sport and it has influenced my life in many ways. MS Dhoni has truly been an inspiration in my life, and I wish if I can become as successful as him. My dream is to play for India. But before that, I want to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).” Besides cricket, Jeel Gajipara is fond of bikes and he loves to go on long rides. With so much enthusiasm and passion, we wish the young talented guy lots of luck and we hope to see him play for the nation someday.
