The popular digital platform – ALTBalaji is back in news and this time for announcing the new web-series Mentalhood. The web series is all about showcasing the crazy ride of Motherhood. Just after the makers announced the web series, they released the first look of the same with Karishma Kapoor in it. The web series claim that it is all about the raising kids calling it to be an art. It says that people call it to be a highly precise science, but a majority of them feel like tigresses who tend to protect their cubs.
Karishma Kohli is the director of the web series and it has actor Karisma Kapoor in the lead role who is doing her debut with it. She is playing the character called Meira Sharma, which is an out and about mental mom. As the title suggests, the web-series talks about the topsy-turvy ride of different kinds of mothers, which often exist and the way they maneuver their way with their unreasonable expectations and eccentricities when it comes to raising their kids.
It deals with the multi-tasking that turns out to be a habit and the issue of constant worry and guilt. Karishma Kapoor has been away from the silver screen busy in her family life but as things settle down in her personal life, she is now focussing over her professional life. A debut in digital media proves this point. She plays Meir who is from a small town and she migrates to Mumbai. She is then seen struggling as a mother while adjusting to the fast life of Mumbai.
While talking about the web series, she said it came out of her choice as it can help her remain with her family and kids while she works for it. She said when she heard the script, she found it interesting. She being a mother made her attracted towards it. She is undergoing the experience of motherhood and found the web series too relevant to opt. She said she is enjoying the shooting.
